As we celebrate 11 incredible years of HighTieds, I find myself reflecting on the journey that has shaped not only my firm but also my life. From its humble beginnings to where we are today, HighTieds has been a labor of love – my very own baby.

The Beginning

The story of HighTieds began when I took the leap to start my own firm after three years of invaluable experience in the industry. With over 35 projects under my belt, I felt ready to venture out on my own. My first project was particularly memorable: I was tasked with designing a room for a client’s twin daughters. Upon visiting their home, I felt an instant connection, as if I were designing for my own family. That emotional investment marked the true beginning of my journey.

Growing Pains

In those early days, it was just me. I worked tirelessly on various projects—1 BHKs, 2 BHKs, homes, and offices—often from random cafes. I was fortunate to have the support of good friends and clients who let me use their spaces, helping me navigate those challenging initial years. The bond with that first client remains strong, as their daughters have now grown up and even gotten married. They still rely on us for design, highlighting the lasting relationships we build.

Building a Team

After about two years of hard work, we were finally able to rent an office space and bring on our first employee, Shihul, who is now in the US. Our small team has since grown to 8-9 talented women, reflecting my commitment to women empowerment. As the only woman in my early work environment, I often felt out of place among an all-male staff. I envisioned a supportive, all-women workforce where everyone could thrive.

Our team now includes members from Indore, Nasik, MP, and Surat, each bringing unique backgrounds and perspectives. We’ve cultivated a family-like atmosphere, where everyone feels safe and valued.

Overcoming Challenges

The journey hasn’t been without its struggles. Like many businesses, we faced significant challenges before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. Yet, our resilience and commitment to our clients have helped us emerge stronger.

More Than Just a Business

For me, HighTieds is not merely a business; it’s a passion project that encompasses design, landscape, and architecture. My greatest satisfaction comes from creating spaces that reflect our clients’ dreams and aspirations. Financial compromises have been part of the journey, but seeing the joy on a client’s face when they see their new space is worth every sacrifice.

While many seek fame, my primary goal is to ensure my clients feel they’ve received excellent value for their money. Positive feedback from clients is the real measure of success for us, and I cherish the relationships we’ve built over the years.

Looking Ahead

As we move forward, my focus remains on client happiness and satisfaction. I am incredibly grateful to our vendors and the community that supports us. We prioritize timely delivery and exceptional after-service because, ultimately, it’s the joy of our clients that fuels our passion.
